A brief moment that will last a lifetime: A mother Brown Bear, an Alaskan Coastal Grizzly, offers a mesmerizing and powerful glance into my camera's lens, along the serene banks of Pack Creek, nestled within Admiralty Island, Southeast Alaska. My journey, paddling a small pack raft for 20 miles to camp on Windfall Island, allowed me to intimately document the lives of these majestic creatures over the span of a week. Admiralty is known as Kootznowoo in the Native tongue meaning the 'Fortress of Bears,' harboring over 1600 brown bears, boasting the world's highest concentration amidst its forests.
